This was hard for me to understand at first, being the lack of true knowledge I had on the subject. One could say I only saw the 'form' of his allegory as I saw it but didn't understand what it really was, and as I searched the net and saw various explanations and even a very poorly made cartoon explaining it, only then was I dragged out of the cave and into the blinding sun of true knowledge, ultimately about his cave of forms. Below is the video of the cave allegory.
